Eden Sassoon– daughter of Vidal Sassoon and frequently seen on Bravo’s hit TV show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills- hosted the 2017 North American Hairstyling Awards powered by Professional Beauty Association. Anyone familiar with the hit reality TV show, knows Eden is a turned-sober woman who relies on her spirituality and understanding of love to empower her path in life. In expected fashion (since she presses her new lifestyle on all the questionable woman of Beverly Hills who enjoy their alcohol too much), Eden had us hug the neighbor next to us in order to spread love; sober-style. Eden gave a powerful tribute to her father and the entire crowd was eager for a spectacular show after such an impressive opening and host.
What a way to start the show. Top hair brands took over the runway exhibiting their take on what’s going to trend in hair care for the year to come. Each avant garde looking more stunning than the next.
Awarded at the NAHA awards were: Lifetime Achievement Award was Sam Villa. Global Artistic Ambassador for REDKEN and co-founder of Sam Villa, Villa has over 40 years’ experience as a stylist; PBA recognizes an artist’s technical skill, industry innovation and leadership when selecting the recipient of the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.

The highlight of the night was learning that NAHA opens their doors to 3,000 hair school student applicants in the USA and Canada and selects only 300 of them to come to Vegas to attend the NAHA’s. Not only does NAHA honor the tried and true hair artists of the industry, but it does a great job at being all inclusive to the eager students of today who aim to one day grace the stage.
